About Dave

Dave Satlin joined ESPN in 1995 as the network’s first Soccer Researcher. A lifelong sports fan with a deep passion for soccer, his first major assignment was supporting ABC and ESPN’s coverage of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Over the next decade, Dave became known behind the scenes for his ability to connect with soccer talent and producers, helping elevate ESPN’s soccer coverage to new levels.

In 2012, Dave jumped into a new phase of News Gathering by embracing the ESPN Bureau Kit camera package. With the versatility to produce and shoot content at a high level, Dave continued his successful career and became the longest-serving Bureau Producer in the history of ESPN Deportes.

After retiring from ESPN in 2025, Dave joined Fox Sports as a field producer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, covering 16 matches in nine cities as part of Fox’s record-setting World Cup production.
